My Unforgettable Journey
The school is over, I met my friend Made. Made lived near my house, so I could went home together with him.We decided went home by train. Before went home, we bought some foods and ate it at the canteen. Next, Made and I went to Gondangdia Railway Station on foot. It was the first time I went home by train, usually I went home by bus. In my country, train is one of cheap tronsportation, but it has a lot of weaknesses, like : dirty, crowded, and not on time. So, I rarely use the train. Then, I bought two tickets to Jakarta Kota Railway Station for two thousand rupiah. We waited the train for twenty minutes. We walked around the station and talked about the school activities. The train came, Made and I entered the train. Only fifteen minutes we sat in the train, then we arrived at Jakarta Kota. After we arrived, we bought two tickets again to Bekasi, our next destination. The train would come for one hour later. We decided to visited Mangga Dua to kill the time. We bought some accessories for a low price. Made was a good bargaining. Then we went back to the station. We arrived at the station on time, but the train didn’t come. After waiting for ten minutes, the train came, and then we entered the train. We sat in the next of the door, so we could go down easily. From the window, I saw some peoples who was running to catch the train. I wondered that they just went home from working. Some of them stood in the train because there were not place to sit. The train then departed with low speed, and made this journey became so long. In the train, there are a lot of vendors who walked from the place to another place. they sold drink, snack, meals, fruits, stationery, toys, and many more. I bought a newspaper only for one thousand rupiah. Besides it, Made bought some pens and funny accessories for low price. I thought he would give it to his girlfriend. Among the vendors, there are some childs who became road-singers to get some money. I saw they did their job happily, to help their parents or to pay the school fee. Along the journey, I saw a lot of houses which was bulit around the railway. It was the suburb area in Jakarta. The train became crowded in Senen and Jatinegara. We decide to stand to give other people to sit. After thirty minutes, the train arrived at Kranji Railway Station. Made and I went down from the train. Then we went to our home. Made walked and I stop the bus. I arrived at home two hours after the school over, a long time journey. But from the journey, I learned how to thank God for the thing that I have now. Things that I have now are only God’s gifts. Besides it, I will study harder to reach my dream and help other people around me.
